about

Glacial (Live): This five-song EP documents the remarkable Glacial event that took place before an incredible hometown Winnipeg audience in January 2020. The culmination of months of planning and artistic collaboration with ice master Luca Roncoroni, this event was a truly unique synthesis of music, architecture, and light. All of the sounds employed, both live and sampled, were created with handcrafted ice instruments designed for this singular occasion.

RC3PO: RC3PO is the story of a couple of Winnipeg’s heavyweight musical voices intertwining. The result - a triangle offence of rap styles from 3PEAT (Steve, E.GG and Dill The Giant) smashing into the mad science of beats and sounds Royal Canoe has built their career on. No one can remember exactly how it began, but once it started the energy of their collaboration was contagious and the result is the debut EP from RC3PO.

Think of them as the child that would result, however inexplicably, if the Beatles, Peter Gabriel, Vampire Weekend, Outkast and Fever Ray had a hymn sing followed by an orgy. ... more
